STRmix Advanced Workshop, Lausanne, Switzerland, 29-30 July 2019

Spaces are limited, so please download the registration form by clicking here [PDF, 96 KB], and then email it to  rena.lawless@esr.cri.nz before 7 July 2019 to register your interest (1 form per participant).  This training is in the latest major version release of STRmix™, and is open for attendance by scientific experts that have received STRmix™ user training and have casework experience using the software. Attendance will be confirmed once minimum attendee numbers are met.

Location:  University Center Romand Medicine Légale (CURML), Ch. de la Vulliette 4, 1000 Lausanne, Switzerland. Hotel recommendations will be provided soon.

Workshop price: 650€ per participant

Overview:  Led by Dr John Buckleton, this workshop will provide participants with additional insight into the molecular models and mathematics on which STRmix™ is based as well as the application of a number of the software functionalities.  This training will include ‘by hand’ exercises to recreate some of the calculations performed by STRmix™ under the guidance of the instructors.  Participants will benefit from having a good working knowledge of Microsoft excel.

A STRmix™ evaluation licence will be provided.  The evaluation version installation will be a remote installation of STRmix approximately a week before the start of the workshop.  A laptop is required during the workshop and the specifications are as follows:
